The SBU, together with the Defence Forces, struck the Yaroslavl refinery, an oil-loading terminal in Vysotsk, and military facilities in Crimea.
“Carrying out tasks set by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy as part of a systematic effort to reduce the Russian Federation’s military-economic potential, the Security Service of Ukraine, together with the Defence Forces of Ukraine, delivered a series of successful strikes on fuel-and-energy and military infrastructure facilities in Russia and temporarily occupied Crimea,” — the special service said in a statement.
Ukrainian drones attacked the Yaroslavl oil refinery and the Yaroslavl line production and dispatch station. Explosions and smoke were recorded in the area of the refinery.
A successful strike on the oil-loading terminal at the seaport of Vysotsk in Russia’s Leningrad Region was also confirmed. As a result of the strike, two oil-loading arms were put out of service and three tanks containing petroleum products were hit.
Drones also hit the First Plant refinery in Russia’s Kaluga Region. After the explosions, a fire broke out at the facility.
Separately, the SBU carried out a successful operation in the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. Three hangars with aircraft equipment at the Hvardiyske airfield were hit there. Also struck were a Patnsir-S2 air defence missile system near Simferopol, a mobile fire group in Kerch, a tank with petroleum products, and a pumping station at the TES-Terminal-1 oil depot.
SBU chief Yevhen Khmara stressed that they are doing everything to ensure Russia receives retribution every day for its crimes.
“While the enemy shells peaceful Ukrainian cities, its military and fuel infrastructure will suffer tangible losses. We are systematically destroying the resources that feed Russia’s war machine, and this work will only intensify,” he said.
- Earlier, it was reported that in Russia’s Yaroslavl, the Slavneft-YANOS refinery is likely on fire. In the Russian Federation, people complained about a drone attack.
