On the night of 6 July, Russia carried out a large-scale combined attack using strike drones and air-, land- and sea-launched missiles. The main direction of the strike was Kyiv.
Radio-technical troops recorded 419 attack means—68 missiles and 351 UAVs, the Air Force reported.
Russia used 6 Zircon/Oniks anti-ship missiles from Kursk Region, 23 Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles from Kursk, Bryansk and Oryol regions, 33 Kh-101 cruise missiles from Vologda, 6 Kalibr cruise missiles from Novorossiysk, and 351 drones from Shatalovo, Bryansk, Kursk, Oryol, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk and occupied Donetsk.
According to preliminary data as of 8:30 a.m., defenders shot down or suppressed 363 targets—37 missiles and 326 drones. Of these:
- 31 Kh-101 missiles
- 6 cruise missiles
- 326 UAVs.
“According to preliminary information, as of 8:30 a.m., impacts of 29 ballistic (including anti-ship) missiles and 18 strike UAVs were recorded at 34 locations, as well as the fall of downed UAVs (debris) at 16 locations,” the Air Force reported.
- In Kyiv, at least 11 people were killed and more than 40 injured as a result of the attack. In Kyiv Region, one person was killed and 10 were injured. The worst situation is in Vyshneve, where there is a risk of detonation of explosive objects.
