Recently, a decrease in Russian aviation activity has been observed in the Black Sea and Azov Sea area. One possible reason is problems with power supply and logistics in temporarily occupied Crimea.
Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine spokesperson Dmytro Pletenchuk said this during the national telethon, RBC-Ukraine reports.
According to him, this trend has been observed for more than a day, but it is still too early to say whether it will continue.
"We have been observing this trend for more than a day. Whether it will continue is still difficult to say, but the fact remains. And even despite the fact that the Russians have more often used aviation recently to carry out strikes, this is still important," Pletenchuk noted.
The Navy spokesperson added that one of the factors behind the decline in aviation activity was blackouts and complications in supplying resources to temporarily occupied Crimea.
In addition, Pletenchuk said, Russian warships continue to remain at their bases.
"Russian ships remain at their bases; no departures to sea have been recorded," he emphasized.
