Night attack hits: 31 drones strike 22 locations

The missile launched by the Russians did not reach its target. 

On the night of 10 August, Russia attacked Ukrainians with a Kh-59/69 guided air-launched missile and three Banderol loitering munitions from airspace over the Black Sea, as well as 126 strike UAVs of the Shahed type (including jet-powered ones), Gerbera, and Parodiya decoy drones launched from the directions of Kursk, Millerovo, Oryol, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, and the occupied Crimea and Donetsk. 

As of 9:00 a.m., according to preliminary data, defenders neutralised 92 drones and three Banderol munitions in the south, north, and east of the country, the Air Force reported. The attack is ongoing.

Thirty-one strike UAVs hit 22 locations, and debris from downed drones fell at two locations. As a result of active countermeasures, the enemy missile did not reach its targets; information on the crash site is being clarified,” the statement said.

  • Among the regions affected overnight was Poltava Region, where the Russian military attacked industry, a gas station, and a private household. Fires broke out. 
  • 14 people were injured in Sumy, which the Russians struck with guided aerial bombs.
