In the Mykolaiv region, a drone struck a suburban train. Passengers and the locomotive crew were not injured.

Before the attack, an elevated air-raid threat was announced. The company’s monitoring centre, which tracks aerial threats around the clock, relayed an evacuation order to the train crew in advance.
Thanks to the swift actions of railway staff, people were able to be taken off the train before the strike.
Emergency services and railway workers are currently on site. They are dealing with the aftermath of the attack and working to restore damaged infrastructure.
Ukrzaliznytsia urged passengers to pay close attention to announcements while travelling and to follow staff instructions during air-raid alerts.
Russia’s Latest Attacks on the Railway
- At Lymanivka station in Kharkiv region, a Russian drone hit the Lozova–Kharkiv electric train, killing two people.
- In Odesa region, a jet-powered “Shahed” struck the locomotive of a passenger train. The train was also stopped in advance, and railway workers evacuated passengers. There were 593 people on board, including 15 children. No one was injured.
