To mark Ukraine’s Independence Day, F-Drones is giving away free keys for the F-Drones Simulator. The drone manufacturer announced this on Instagram.
To get a key, you need to follow the link in the company’s profile header and sign in via your Steam account. The key will be issued immediately. One key is issued per account. The company noted that the Steam account must be registered in the Ukrainian region.
F-Drones added that the simulator will appear on Steam in the near future. As soon as it becomes available, users will be able to activate the key they have received and start training straight away.
As a reminder, F-Drones launched a simulator for training FPV operators — both for civilians (a limited version) and for the military and training centres (a non-public extended version). The latter can be obtained by submitting a request to the company.
As the manufacturer notes, they added their own unmanned aircraft models, their physics and tactical and technical specifications, developed missions of varying complexity, and also involved military personnel to recreate different communications configurations.
F-Drones CEO Stanislav Khutor told DOU that before practical training, pilots should log at least 10 hours of flight time on a drone. According to Khutor, this is how, in particular, the US military will be trained.
