All responsible leaders of the Security and Defence Forces and the domestic defence industry must carry out a full audit of weapons and ammunition storage locations.
This was reported by the Ministry of Defence.
The ministry stressed that “storing depots containing explosives near residential buildings is unacceptable”.
“Rescuers, medics and police officers are currently working at the scene in Bucha district, Kyiv region, and communities are doing everything possible to rescue and support those affected,” the Ministry of Defence added.
- Since 27 August, Russia has been carrying out continuous strikes in small groups of UAVs on Kyiv and the region. On the evening of 28 August, the enemy struck a production facility in the village of Myla, near the Zhytomyr motorway. The strike led to a detonation.
- Several dozen people were killed, and many others were injured.
- At the scene of the attack, among those killed was Dmytrivka settlement head Taras Didych, who arrived there after the shelling.
