In the Kherson region, Russian forces attacked civilians with drones on the morning of 13 September. As a result of the strikes, a 71-year-old man was killed and two other people were injured.
This was reported by the Kherson Regional Military Administration and the prosecutor’s office.
At around 05:30, Russian troops attacked the village of Mylove with a drone. The strike killed a 71-year-old local resident.
Over the death, the Beryslav District Prosecutor’s Office has opened a pre-trial investigation into the commission of a war crime resulting in a person’s death – Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Prosecutors, together with police investigators, are carrying out urgent investigative actions and documenting the consequences of Russia’s attack on civilians in the Kherson region.
Also early in the morning, Russian forces attacked two men in Kherson’s Korabelnyi district with drones.
The drone strike injured men aged 34 and 36. Doctors diagnosed them with blast injuries and closed head injuries, concussions and shrapnel wounds.
Emergency medical teams took the injured men to hospital. Their condition is assessed as moderate.
Over the past day, Russian forces continued to terrorise the Kherson region with aircraft, attack drones and artillery. Nine people were injured.
