An air raid alert has been in place in Chernihiv region for more than a day. During this time, Russian forces have carried out a series of strikes on the region: one person was killed and three others were injured.
This was reported by the head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, Viacheslav Chaus.
Yesterday morning, a Russian drone attacked Horodnia. The strike damaged windows in a two-storey building.
In Nizhyn, the Russians carried out drone strikes using “Banderol” type UAVs. Homes, cars and a shop were damaged. Rescuers quickly extinguished the fire that broke out at the impact site.
In one of the villages in Koriukivka district, an FPV drone hit a yard. A minibus was damaged.
In the Semenivka community, Russian troops attacked a car with an FPV drone. The 50-year-old driver sustained shrapnel wounds and was taken to hospital, where he received the necessary medical care. Later, the enemy carried out another strike, damaging cars.
In the Baturyn community in Nizhyn district, a UAV attack killed a 52-year-old man from Sumy region who was returning from fishing with a friend. Their car was riddled with drone fragments. The other man was not injured.
Late in the evening, Russian forces struck the village in the Mena community with a “Geran” drone. Cars and the windows of a private house were damaged.
Overnight, the enemy attacked one of the villages in the Novhorod-Siverskyi community with a “Molniya” drone. The strike destroyed a car. A 15-year-old girl and an 18-year-old boy were injured.
The girl was hospitalised, while the boy is receiving outpatient treatment.
