In Volyn, two kilometres from the border with Poland, Russian forces struck the locomotive of a passenger train.
This was reported by Ukrzaliznytsia.
“Today in Volyn, two kilometres from the border with Poland, the enemy struck the locomotive of a passenger train,” the statement said.
A monitoring group warned the train crew of the threat in advance. As a result, none of the passengers or railway workers were injured.
Ukrzaliznytsia said it continues to monitor aerial threats, keep trains running and take the maximum possible measures to ensure the safety of passengers and railway staff.
