Following a competitive selection process, Energoatom’s Supervisory Board has identified the winners for senior management roles.

This was reported by the Ministry of Energy.

Yurii Tkachuk will become the company’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), while Pavlo Pavlyshyn will take up the role of Director for Nuclear Safety (CNO).

The open competition for these positions ran from June to September.

The Ministry of Energy noted that both roles were created as part of the company’s new corporate governance model. The Chief Executive will oversee the company’s operations and development. The Director for Nuclear Safety will be responsible for nuclear and radiation safety matters, as well as the operation of nuclear power units.

The candidates will be formally appointed after all required procedures are completed. In addition, for Pavlyshyn to take up the post of Director for Nuclear Safety, he must obtain an individual licence. Energoatom will submit his candidacy for licensing after all corporate stages have been completed.
