Estonian-Ukrainian defence technology company DOD Solution has entered into a strategic partnership with German-Ukrainian drone manufacturer United Unmanned Systems (UUS). DoD Solution reported this on Facebook.
At the heart of the cooperation is DOD Solution’s AURA AI platform, which provides visual navigation, target recognition and tracking, and terminal guidance in conditions where GPS is unavailable and communications are limited or lost.
The company notes that the technologies of both manufacturers have already been used separately on the battlefield, and that their joint integration has successfully passed tests. The next stage of the cooperation is to integrate DOD Solution’s autonomy technologies into a larger number of UUS strike platforms and scale up their deployment.
DoD Solution is an Estonian-Ukrainian defence technology company that develops onboard computers and autonomy systems for unmanned platforms. The company works with unmanned platform manufacturers, integrating AI-based autonomy across a wide range of defence applications. Its flagship product, the AURA AI platform, combines proprietary software with the AURA SBC onboard computer to provide autonomous navigation, perception, target recognition and tracking, and terminal guidance in conditions where GPS is unavailable, under countermeasures, and with limited communications.
Recently, DoD Solution and Estonia’s Defsecintel Solutions agreed to develop AI systems to counter drones. The development will combine Defsecintel’s EIRSHIELD detection system with DoD Solution’s AURA AI autonomy platform for navigation and terminal guidance.
United Unmanned Systems (UUS) is a German-Ukrainian defence technology company headquartered in Kyiv and Hanover. UUS develops and supplies unmanned systems for various types of missions, including strike FPV drones, bomber UAVs, reconnaissance platforms and interceptor drones.
