On the night of 1 October, the Russian army carried out an air strike on Sumy. Two people were injured. The women were taken to hospital.
As the head of the Military Administration wrote on Telegram, Serhiy Kryvosheienko said the Russians struck the regional centre overnight with a guided aerial bomb.
The strike hit a private residential area in the Kovpakivskyy district. Preliminary reports indicate two people were injured. A 60-year-old and a 41-year-old woman were admitted to hospital.
Around six homes were damaged.
