Air defence forces overnight neutralised 123 of the 135 Russian UAVs used by Russia to attack Ukraine. Of the 135 drones, 45 were jet-powered.
This was reported by the Ukrainian Air Force.
"On the night of 4 October (from 18:00 on 3 October), the enemy attacked with 135 strike UAVs of the Shahed type (52 of them jet-powered), Gerbera, ‘Banderol’/‘Dan-T’, and decoy drones of the ‘Parodiya’ type from the following directions: Oryol, Kursk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk — Russia; temporarily occupied Donetsk and the temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea — Hvardiiske," the statement said.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of Ukraine’s Defence Forces.
According to preliminary data, as of 08:30, air defences shot down/suppressed 123 enemy UAVs of the Shahed and Gerbera types, drones of other types, as well as two ‘Banderol’/‘Dan-T’.
Hits by the enemy’s air attack assets were recorded at five locations, and falling debris at five locations.
"The attack is ongoing, with several enemy UAVs in the airspace. Follow safety rules!" the Air Force stressed.
