On 6 October and overnight into 7 October, the Defence Forces carried out strikes on a number of enemy military facilities in the occupied territories of Ukraine and in Russia.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this.
In particular, Ukrainian troops hit Seshcha airfield in Russia’s Bryansk region. The extent of the damage is still being assessed.
In the Hrynyove area there, a Russian electronic warfare station was also struck, and near Elionka a radar station was hit.
In the Donetsk area, Ukrainian forces struck a site used by the occupiers to store, prepare and launch attack drones. Also, in Zaporizhzhia region, drone control points were hit in the areas of Bilotserkivka and Kamianka.
In addition, near Hirnyk in Donetsk region, a command post was hit, and in the areas of Ukrainsk and Kurakhivka, command-and-observation posts of Russian forces were struck.
In temporarily occupied Luhansk region, the Defence Forces hit a logistics depot in the Krynychne area and a fuel and lubricants depot near Kondriuche.
- On 7 October, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that two oil facilities and a training ground were hit in Russia’s Perm, Samara and Astrakhan regions. Zelenskyy separately spoke of a Ukrainian response in the Black Sea.
