Ukraine has received a further €1.2bn from the European Union under the Ukraine Support Loan. Prime Minister Serhiy Koretskyy reported this on 7 October.
The funds received will be directed to urgent defence needs. Ukraine continues to work with partners to secure the remaining financing on time and in full.
“Taking this tranche into account, Ukraine has already received almost €13bn in defence financing under the programme,” Koretskyi said.
The Ukraine Support Loan provides for €90bn in assistance in the form of a loan in 2026–2027. The financing is tied to conditions: the rule of law, anti-corruption commitments, and transparency in the use of funds. Repayment is to take place only after the aggressor pays reparations to Ukraine.
Next week, the Verkhovna Rada will convene to vote on the priority commitments to partners on which the financing depends.
