Russia Hits Kyiv Region With Ballistic Missiles and Drones, Damaging Industrial Warehouses

Russian forces carried out a combined strike on the Kyiv Region using ballistic missiles and drones. This was reported by Ukraine’s State Emergency Service. 

 In the Obukhiv district, the attack damaged three industrial and warehouse facilities. Fires broke out on the site and have now been brought under control.

A lorry and a trailer were also damaged. No one was injured in the strike.

Rescuers and other emergency services continue to work at the scene, dealing with the aftermath of the attack.

  • On the night of 7 October, Russia attacked Ukraine with anti-ship, ballistic and cruise missiles, as well as 130 strike drones. The main directions of the strike were the Kyiv, Kharkiv, Poltava and Dnipropetrovsk Regions. 
  • According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, at least nine people were killed and more than 30 were injured. The highest number of casualties was in Pryluky in the Chernihiv Region, where a missile strike destroyed two stairwells of a multi-storey apartment building: five people were killed and at least 20 were injured.
