At 28 crossing points on Ukraine’s state border and on the access roads leading to them, 135 basic mobile shelters will be set up.
This was reported by the State Agency for Restoration and Infrastructure Development.
The protective structures will be installed in five border regions: Vinnytsya, Odesa, Chernivtsi, Transcarpathian and Volyn.
Regional Restoration Services are already carrying out the relevant procurement.
The Agency noted that fitting out the shelters should strengthen the safety of people crossing the state border, as well as staff at the crossing points.
“Installing shelters is an important component of protecting border infrastructure, which ensures the uninterrupted daily movement of people and vehicles,” the agency stressed.
