In September, the Defence Forces carried out strikes on enemy command posts, Russian drone infrastructure, military aircraft and boats on the territory of the Russian Federation and in temporarily occupied Crimea.

This was reported by Ukraine’s Ministry of Defence.

In September 2026, Ukraine’s Defence Forces continued to systematically strike Russian military facilities in the operational rear. Over the month, more than 30 air defence, radar and electronic warfare assets, as well as more than 40 command posts, came under attack.

In addition, Ukrainian troops hit more than 50 warehouses, bases and other logistics and support facilities, as well as more than 20 infrastructure sites linked to the storage, preparation, production and use of drones.

The Defence Forces struck two S-400 air defence missile system launchers in Russia’s Bryansk Region, a 92N6 radar station that is part of an S-400 system in Sochi, a Buk-M3 system in Zaporizhzhia, as well as Pantsir-S1 and Pantsir-S2 surface-to-air missile and gun systems.

Russian radar stations including Nebo-U, Nebo-SV, Podlyot, Kasta, P-18 and other electronic warfare and technical intelligence assets were also hit.

Throughout the month, Ukrainian troops systematically struck locations used to store, prepare and launch Geran and Gerbera-type attack drones, including in the Donetsk area.

In Petropavlivka in Luhansk Region, a training centre for UAV operators of the Akhmat unit was hit; in Sievierodonetsk, a drone production site was struck; and near the Saky airfield, a ground control station for Orion reconnaissance-strike UAVs was hit.

A separate focus was strikes on Russian logistics. The Defence Forces targeted ammunition depots, fuel and lubricants storage sites, repair bases and storage locations for weapons and military equipment.

Overall, more than 50 such facilities on temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine and in Russia’s border regions came under attack.

In the area of Vladyslavivka in occupied Crimea, Ukrainian troops also struck a railway bridge over the North Crimean Canal, which was used for military logistics.

In addition, a Su-24 aircraft was hit at the Saky airfield. During September, the destruction of a Russian MiG-29 aircraft and a Ka-27 helicopter was also confirmed. In Sevastopol, a BK-16 landing craft and a Mangust high-speed patrol boat came under attack.

In Snizhne in Donetsk Region, a machine-building plant used to manufacture military products was hit.

“The systematic use of middle strike capabilities enables the Defence Forces to consistently reduce the enemy’s combat potential and disrupt the operation of its command, air defence and logistics systems,” the Ministry of Defence stressed.
