Kherson Region Exposes Collaborator Who Led Occupation Administration During Russian Control

According to investigators, the suspect headed an occupation territorial department and took part in organising events linked to the activities of the Russian administration.

A resident of Kherson Region has been notified in absentia of suspicion of voluntarily taking up a post in an illegal authority on temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine. 

This is reported by the Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office.

According to the investigation, no later than August 2024 the man voluntarily agreed to cooperate with representatives of the occupation administration and headed the so-called “Havrylivskyi Territorial Department of the Kalanchak Municipal District of Kherson Region”.

The territories of Havrylivka Druha, Babenkova Persha, Oleksandrivka, Oleksiivka and Prymorske were under his control.

In this position, the suspect exercised overall management of the department and organised its work. In addition, he took part in organising and holding public events connected with the activities of the occupation administration, its representatives and so-called deputies.

The man’s actions were classified under Part 5 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – voluntarily taking up a post in an illegal authority created in temporarily occupied territory.

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by investigators of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) Directorate in Kherson Region.
