As a result of the overnight attack on 13–14 October, there are emergency power cuts in Kyiv’s Darnytskyy, Dniprovskyy, Pecherskyy and Solomyanskyy districts, as well as parts of the Holosiivskyi district. DTEK reported this.
Stabilisation schedules in these areas are temporarily not in effect. Power engineers are already working on restoration.
On the night of 13–14 October, Russia launched a large-scale ballistic attack on the energy sector. Among the targets was CHP-4. There was also a strike on a high-rise building, killing at least two people and injuring more than 20.
One more person was killed and another injured during strikes at dawn.
Russia attacked the energy sector two days after the US President announced an “energy ceasefire”. The ballistic missiles were detected only as they approached the capital, as US partners had not provided warnings for two consecutive days.
