On the night of 16 October 2026, units of Ukraine’s Defence Forces struck the 55Zh6U Nebo-U radar station near the settlement of Magri in Russia’s Krasnodar Krai.

The General Staff reported this.

As a result, a fire broke out in the area of the facility.

Nebo-U is a long-range, three-coordinate VHF-band radar. The station is designed to detect and track aerial targets, including aircraft, cruise missiles and ballistic missiles. Strikes on such systems reduce the enemy’s ability to monitor the airspace and detect aerial targets in time. The estimated cost of the station is about US$100 million.

Work against key military facilities of the Russian aggressor continues.

  • On the night before last in Russia, it was possible to destroy four aircraft and strike two more.
