Today, 29 October, the Russian army attacked a transport infrastructure facility in Dnipro. This was reported by the head of the Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Hanzha.
According to information from the city’s mayor, Borys Filatov, the Russians hit a civilian electric train with a drone. As of 11:20, 13 people are known to have been killed and five injured. Ukrzaliznytsia said the enemy struck the railway station in the regional centre with a jet-powered UAV.
The strike hit one of the platforms, where train No. 866 Dnipro–Zaporizhzhia was at the time.
Despite the heightened danger warning, people were on the platform, the operator said.
Rescue workers, medics and law enforcement officers are working at the scene.
“Thirteen people were killed as a result of the Russians’ attack on Dnipro. At least five were injured. Medics are providing all necessary assistance,” Hanzha said.
