For the evacuation from Oleshky, 25 buses with 750 seats have been prepared, along with ambulances for people with limited mobility. Those who wish to stay will be provided with humanitarian support.

This was written by the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets.

“We are in Armyansk. Here we are working with the Russian Commissioner for Human Rights, Yana Lantratova, and coordinating further actions within this mission. Journalists from three countries have also joined the coverage,” he said.

According to Lubinets, everything has been prepared to a high standard.

“We are bringing humanitarian aid for local residents of the city of Oleshky. Our main task is to ensure that this aid reaches every person who needs it. We are paying particular attention to older people, people with disabilities, and everyone who, due to their health or other circumstances, cannot look after themselves,” the ombudsman said.

Twenty-five buses with 750 seats have been prepared, as well as ambulances for people with limited mobility. People will be helped to leave either for Ukraine or for Russia.

Everyone who wants to leave Oleshky will have the opportunity to depart safely. At the same time, those who have decided to stay may remain and will receive all the necessary humanitarian support.

“It is now no less important for both sides to observe the ceasefire. Special thanks to our Defence Forces of Ukraine. We continue to work. I thank the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation, Yana Lantratova, for cooperation in carrying out this mission. Special thanks to US First Lady Melania Trump for mediation and coordination,” Lubinets noted.

He noted that the ceasefire has already been in place for more than 75 hours, and both sides are observing it. This is the first time since 2022 that a ceasefire has been established along such a large section of the front, and it is not being violated.
