On the morning of 31 October, drones attacked the industrial zone of the city of Ufa in Russia’s Republic of Bashkortostan. Witnesses reported a drone flying overhead and published video of smoke above the city. Due to the threat of an attack, restrictions were introduced at the local airport.

Ufa’s industrial zone is home to three major oil refineries: Bashneft-UNPZ, Bashneft-Novoil and Bashneft-Ufaneftekhim. Their combined capacity is 23.5 million tonnes of oil per year.
Local authorities announced a drone attack threat. Ufa Airport temporarily restricted the arrival and departure of aircraft.
