The government has allocated UAH 354.6m for repairs to shelters in maternity hospitals and to strengthen the protection of hospitals.
Prime Minister announced this, according to Serhii Koretskyi.
In particular, UAH 294.8m will go towards repairing shelters at 84 facilities where births are delivered. The shelters will be equipped to meet the needs of pregnant women, new mothers and newborns, ensuring warmth, lighting, water and ventilation.
A further UAH 59.8m will be used to strengthen the protection of healthcare facilities that fall under the Ministry of Health’s management and have inpatient departments. This includes operating theatres, intensive care units, neonatal intensive care units, delivery rooms and more. To this end, gabions, metal roller shutters and impact-resistant protective film will be installed on windows.
The funds are being reallocated within the Ministry of Health’s budget.
- The government is updating the rules for how businesses operate during a yellow-level air-raid alert. Entrepreneurs will be given more time to set up shelters or safe spaces.
