On the night of 31 October, Russian forces again attacked DTEK energy facilities in the Dnipropetrovsk region. The strikes severely damaged equipment at two sites operated by the company "DTEK Dnipro Power Grids".
DTEK reported this.
One of the damaged facilities is the one where power engineers had been working for almost two days to restore operations after the previous attack.
A large part of Dnipro and Kamianske remains without electricity, as do residents of the Dnipro and Novomoskovsk districts.
Power engineers from across the region continue working at the damaged facilities, as far as the security situation allows. DTEK says it is doing everything possible to restore electricity to consumers as quickly as possible.
- After Russian shelling, major power supply disruptions occurred in the Dnipropetrovsk region. On the morning of 30 October, emergency outages were introduced in Dnipro, districts adjacent to the regional centre, and part of the Pavlohrad district. According to DTEK, the attacks severely damaged energy equipment.
- Later, the head of the Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Hanzha, reported that power supply had been restored for most customers, but more than 200,000 consumers were still without electricity. Restoration work continued.
