On the morning of 8 November, Russian forces attacked rescuers in Zaporizhzhia district with a drone. Emergency workers were carrying out rescue operations at the site of an airstrike on a shelter in Komyshuvakha.

This was reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

As a result of the targeted attack, no personnel were injured. However, specialist rescue equipment was damaged.

Despite shelling and the threat of repeat strikes, rescuers continue to work at the sites of Russian attacks and help people.

  • On 2 November, Russian forces attacked a school in Komyshuvakha that was being used for humanitarian purposes: local residents were receiving aid there. According to the President, there were several air bomb strikes on the settlement from the morning. After the first attack, the Russians carried out a repeat strike with another nine bombs — specifically on the shelter where people were.
  • Among the dead were a police officer and two State Emergency Service rescuers.
