Over the past 24 hours, one Ukrainian soldier has been killed and two wounded in the antiterrorist operation (ATO) area when their lorry hit an anti-tank mine in the front-line zone, the presidential administration's spokesman for the ATO, Oleksandr Motuzyanyk, told a briefing on 10 May.

On 9 May, the situation in the ATO zone deteriorated significantly as Russia-controlled militants 15 times opened fire on the Ukrainian military positions almost all along the contact line.

On 8 May, two Ukrainian troops were killed and four were injured by unidentified explosive devices.
