Over the past day three Ukrainian military were killed and another eight were wounded in the anti-terrorist operation zone in Donbass.
The press officer of the Presidential Administration on ATO issues Andriy Lysenko told a briefing on 30 May, that Ukrainian troops suffered losses near Donetsk and Mariupol.
On 28 May, five governmental troops were killed and four wounded in Donbas. Of them, four were killed after being ambushed in the area of Novoselivka Druha and Verhnyotoretske. Another soldier was killed in the same area when a vehicle he was in trapped a landmine. All five were served in the same battalion.
On 27 May, the commander of the 3rd Battalion of the 72th mechanized brigade Andriy "Mowgli" Zhuk was killed.
