On 29 May, the militants took over a one-kilometer stretch near Zaytsevo in Horlivka, according to reports by volunteers.
"A fierce attack is underway. Avdiyivka is being shelled. We are about to lose Zaytsevo, where the militants have captured a kilometer and got entrenched," volunteer Myroslav Hay wrote on his Facebook page last night.
Semen Kabakayev, a coordinator of the StopTerror project, also report a loss of a kilometer-wide stretch of Ukrainian military.
"The militants moved forward and a bring up weaponry (digging in)," he said.
The village of Zaytsevo has been divided by a contact line into two parts, the north being controlled by the governmental troops, the southern - by "DPR" enemy.
