Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman during a meeting with the representatives of Ukrainian corporate sector on 26 May said his government will create an agency to attract investments.
A few hours earlier Groysman promised at a Cabinet meeting that his government will place every effort to facilitate the arrival of investment in Ukraine
"Attraction of investments is a top priority. The government, every official will carry be in their hands everyone who comes to invest into the development of national economy. Create jobs for Ukrainians and we, the government, will work for you," the prime minister promised.
The volume of direct foreign investments into the economy of Ukraine (non-resident shareholders' equity) amounted to 42.820bn dollars as of April 1, 2016. This is 297m dollars more than at the beginning of the year.
The biggest investor in Ukraine is Cyprus.
