The nation's budget for 2016 will be revised in July, Finance Minister Oleksandr Danylyuk has said in an interview on Sonya Koshkina's Left Bank TV show.
He said the Cabinet of Ministers was working on a budget resolution for 2017 to be submitted to parliament on 8 June.
Earlier, the Fatherland party has accused the government of disrupting the budget process for 2017 because the budget resolution had not been submitted to the legislature. According to Danylyuk, this is due to the fact that the resolution submitted by the previous government was withdrawn.
"The budget resolution will be sent to parliament on 8 June. It has been drafted and currently is being coordinated by the ministries of economy and justice, and then it will go to parliament. I would like to note that in the last three years, parliament did not adopt a single budget resolution. And then, the resolution as it is today just cannot affect the budget in any way," the minister concluded.
