President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko had a phone conversation with Federal Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel.
The parties exchanged views on the course of the Minsk process, consequences of the Ukrainian President’s visit to France and continuation of sanctions against Russia.
Petro Poroshenko and Angela Merkel also discussed the results of the meeting of the foreign policy advisors to the leaders of the Normandy format held in Minsk on June 15-16.
The Chancellor informed the President on the efforts of Germany aimed at the provision of the visa-free regime to Ukrainians.
The two leaders discussed preparations to the NATO Summit that will be held in Warsaw on July 8-9 and attended by Poroshenko.
