NBU governor expects IMF decision on 1bn-dollar tranche for Ukraine in July
The memorandum with the IMF has yet to be signed.
The Ukrainian National Bank is expecting the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Board to make a decision on another tranche of one billion dollars for Ukraine under the EFF program at its meeting in July, Ukrainian National Bank Governor Valeriya Gontareva told a press conference in Kyiv on 23 June.
"The IMF Board of Governors will meet in July; the precise date has yet to be announced. The next tranche we are expecting to receive will reach one billion dollars," she said, adding that a memorandum with the IMF had not been signed.
Gontareva added that the sum to be assigned for capitalization of banks was not specified yet.
Earlier, Prime Minister Vladimir Groisman said it expects $ 1.7 billion from the IMF in the current year.
