The detectives of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) have detained the deputy director of the state enterprise Ukrzaliznychpostach (now an Ukrzaliznytsia subsidiary Centre of manufacture maintenance), who chaired the committee on competitive bidding, and the chief of department in Ukrzaliznychpostach, a member of the Committee. The curator of bidders is also reported detained.

The NABU press service said in a release said that the officials of Ukrzaliznychpostach together with representatives of business entities have artificially inflated the cost of purchase over 20mn hryvnya (about the 55mn dollars cost of the procured goods and services) and took part in the legalization of misappropriated funds.

SE Ukrzaliznychpostach provides centralized procurement, including spare parts and products, for the rail industry.
