The participants in the procession that came from western Ukraine agreed in the morning of 27 July to be transferred to the centre of Kyiv by buses.

Several thousand marchers spent the night in a church on Chernobylska St. near the Zhytomyrska metro station.

About 20 buses that have been provided by the capital's municipal transport company Kyivpastrans. will take the members of sacred procession to the city center.

LB.ua correspondent says about 10% of the marchers are young athletic men.

The All-Ukrainian Procession of the Cross for Peace, Love and Prayer for Ukraine procession by the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate started on July 3 from the Svyatohorsk Lavra in the east of Ukraine, and on July 9 – from the Pochayiv Lavra in the west. On July 26, on the eve of the celebration of the Baptism of Rus-Ukraine, both processions are scheduled to arrive in Kyiv. They plan to converge on Kyiv's Volodymyrska Hill, and pass along to the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra to participate in solemn liturgy.

In the city center, metal detectors are being installed through which the participants of the march will have to pass on their way to the place of prayer.
