Ex-MP Volodymyr Medyanyk, a member of former President Viktor Yanukovych's Party of Regions faction, has been detained within the framework of the case of arrested Party of Regions faction ex-head Oleksandr Yefremov, Prosecutor-General Yuriy Lutsenko has said on Facebook.
"[Kyiv's] Pecherskyy district court at 9 a.m. on Monday [8 August] will consider our request to have him arrested," he said.
Medyanyk, originally from Luhansk, was elected to parliament in 2012 from a first-past-the-post constituency, which includes a part of Luhansk and Krasnodon.
