The situation in the zone of the antiterrorist operation in Donbass is under control, the ceasefire is observed, with the exception of some armed provocations on the part of the militants, the ATO press center said 6 September on Facebook. Over the past day, the Russia-backed terrorists 21 times opened fire on the positions of the Ukrainian military, six times in Mariupol sector, 13 in Donetsk sector, and twice in Luhansk sector.

In Donetsk sector, the enemy provocations were observed in the Luhansk region and near the village of Avdiyivka. The militants used machine guns, small arms and grenades.

In Mariupol sector, the ceasefire was breached near the villages of Shyrokyno and Talakivka where terrorists fired 120 mm and 82 mm mortars. An enemy sniper was active near Shyrokyno.

In Lugansk sector, the militants fired grenade launchers, machine guns and small arms outside Stanytsya Luhanska and Novozvanivka.

In Donetsk and Mariupol sectors, five enemy drones were spotted.

In spite of enemy provocations, Ukrainian troops did not return fire.

The ATO headquarters reported the discovery of a cache with ammunition in the village Bezhinovo, Novoaydar district, Luhansk region, in the immediate vicinity of the contact line.

The cache contained boxes of ammunition of different calibers, including armor-piercing sniper cartridges, flares, blocks of TNT, anti-tank mines, and grenades.
