The head of the parliamentary committee on energy issues Oleksandr Dombrovskyy says decision of the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Stepan Kubiv to take PJSC Ukrtransgaz out of control of Naftogaz Ukrayiny strategically correct.
There will be no gas market as long as the gas transportation system operator is subject to one of the gas traders like Naftogaz, Dombrovskyy told a press conference on Wednesday.
At the same time, he said the decision of the economy ministry on the division of the companies made without taking into account the opinion Naftogaz lenders and the requirements of the Third Energy Package of the Energy community was a "tactical mistake."
According to Dombrovskyy, the first priority of the working group on the reform of Naftogaz headed by Vice-Premier Volodymyr Kistion is to "harmonize the nuances" as regards to the division of Ukrtransgaz and Naftogaz with both creditors and representatives of the Energy Community.
Naftogaz was created quickly and quietly, without further ado or policy documents, reminded a member of the Presidium of the Energy Association of Ukraine Viktor Merkushov.
The reorganization of this company that with time has turned into a real industry monster, has stuck in an endless discussions and red tape coordinations.
"As a result, we got profanation instead of real changes," concluded the expert.
