Poroshenko's bloc suggests closing some information in officials' declarations
Information about cars, cash and gifts may not be published.
The leader of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc faction Ihor Hryniv on September 29 registered a bill №5192, which proposes to close some of the information in the declarations of the officials from public access. Such data would include cars and other vehicles, gifts, cash, assets in precious metals, financial obligations and expenditures.
Hryniv explains his move by the need to ensure the safety the declarants, their families and related persons from criminal elements who might be interested in their assets.
Earlier, the European Union has said it will assess the success of the system of e-declaration not by its formal launch, which took place today, but by its effectiveness.
