Over the past day, Russia-backed separatist forces 47 times opened fire on the positions of the Ukrainian military in Donbas, the headquarters of the anti-terrorist operation reported on 11 October.
In the Mariupol sector, the militants launched 27 attacks, including with the use of heavy weapons. In particular, they shelled the defenders of Talakivka and Berdyansk from 152mm artillery, and shelled Shyrokyne from 122mm artillery. The militants also used 120mm and 82mm weapons.
The ATO forces in the areas of Vodyane, Shyrokyne, Maryinka, Talakivka were under enemy fire. In the areas of Pavlopil and Hnutove, Ukrainian servicemen were attacked from AIFV-mounted weapons, grenade launchers, machine guns and small arms.
The Lugansk sector saw 17 violations of ceasefire, particularly in the areas of Novozvanivka, Novooleksandrivka and Popasna. The enemy used weapons of different calibre up to 120- and 82mm mortars.
In the sector of Donetsk, Russian occupation forces launched three attacks on ATO forces. In Avdiyivka, the occupants used 82-mm, and 120 mm mortars in Zaytsevo.
On Sunday, no fatalities were reported in the Donbass combat zone, but four Ukrainian military were wounded.
