Ukraine has defined its goal of democracy and freedom, and now it is important not to be mistaken about the path to achieve it, President Petro Poroshenko said in his address to the participants of the VI National Expert Forum, organized by Gorshenin Institute.
The president stressed that the NEF in recent years has become a unique communication platform that brings together experts, the representatives of civil society, politicians and officials to discuss the strategies, ideas and analysis of possible approaches to the challenges faced by the country.
"Today, Ukraine needs new solutions, knowledge and experience. They cannot be obtained without communication, expanded and improved dialogue with the global world. We really need discussion platforms to both discuss urgent issues and take courageous decisions," the statement reads.
"Ukraine has already decided on the goal - we have chosen democracy and freedom, a European future and values. Now it is important not to be mistaken with a choice of ways to reach the goal," says the president of Ukraine.
Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman in his address to the participants of the forum also stressed the importance of this discussion platform for the generation of ideas and proposals, which can be further adopted by the state-owned companies, ministries and agencies.
"It is therefore particularly pleasing to see foreign politicians, experts, representatives of business, who take interest in modern processes in Ukraine and joined the work of the National Expert Forum. Our country is always open for dialogue, in particular with those who offer forward-looking cooperation and are willing to share their unique experiences," the prime minister says.
