The senior public service selection commission has picked Oleksandr Horhan as chairman of the Kyiv regional state administration.
Horhan is the chairman of the Vyshhorod regional state administration.
He was selected out of 25 applicants.
Horhan introduced an anticorruption initiative last year when he installed cameras in his office and streamed video online.
On 10 September, President Petro Poroshenko dismissed Kyiv regional state administration head Maksym Melnychuk. A day earlier, his deputy Ihor Lyubko was caught red-handed when he was accepting a bribe of 200,000 hryvnyas (about 7,800 dollars).
