Drunk serviceman kills fellow soldier, wounds another
The army's non-combat losses keep growing.
On Sunday, 15 January, a member of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Siversk (Bakhmut District) shot a fellow soldier dead and wounded another from the Kalashnikov assault rifle.
A police source told LB.ua that the military was in a state of alcoholic intoxication.
The culprit faces charges of murder, attempted murder.
Last year, non-combat losses in the Ukrainian army reportedly exceeded combat losses. In particular, 211 Ukrainian soldiers were killed in combat in 2016, while 256 people died from other causes.
