Pro-Russian militants have carried out 21 fire attacks on the positions of the antiterrorist operation (ATO) forces since the start of the day, wounding one Ukrainian serviceman, the ATO HQ has said in its regular evening update.
In the Mariupol sector, they fired with 122-mm artillery and 120-mm mortars on Krasnohorivka, with grenade launchers and small arms on Pavlopil, Hnutove, Vodyane, Shyrokyne and Novotroyitske. Snipers were active near Novotroyitske and Maryinka. The enemy used an infantry fighting vehicle against Shyrokyne.
In the Luhansk sector, they fired with grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms on Horikhove and Novozvanivka.
In the Donetsk sector, they used 120-mm and 82-mm mortars against Avdiyivka and Troyitske. They fired with grenade launchers of various systems, heavy machine guns and small arms on Luhanske, Zaytseve and Avdiyivka.
At around 3 p.m., they fired with multiple-launch rocket systems on Krasnohorivka.
"Four shells hit the city directly and one landed nearby," the HQ said.
Militants carried out 55 fire attacks on the ATO positions on 24 January.
