Over the past day, Donbas militants carried out 82 fire attacks in the zone of the antiterrorist operation in Donbas, the ATO press center reported on Thursday, 9 February.
No casualties among the Ukrainian troops were reported.
In the Donetsk sector, Russia-backed militant forces pounded Luhanske with of 152-mm artillery. Mortars, rocket-propelled grenades, heavy machine guns and small arms shelled Nevelske, Verhnyotoretske, Kamyanka, Avdiyivka, Opytne, Pisky, Troyitske, Luhanske, Myronivske and Zaitseve. Luhanske and Avdiyivka were shelled by ebnemy tanks.
In the Luhansk sector, terrorists fired 152-mm and 122-mm caliber artillery at Novotoshkivske and Krymske. Enemy mortars pounded Malynove, rocket-propelled grenades and small arms shelled Katerinivka, Popasna, Krymske, Novozvanivka, Zhovte and Novooleksandrivka. Novozvanivka was under the fire of infantry fighting vehicles and armored personnel carriers.
In the Mariupol sector, the enemy used 152- and 122-mm artillery to shell Maryinka, Lebedynske and Shyrokyne; mortars - Shyrokyne and Hnutove, and rocket-propelled grenades and small arms - Lebedynske, Vodyane, Pavlopil, Shyrokyne and Hnutove.
On 7 February, Verkhovna Rada called on the parliaments of foreign states and international organizations to condemn the escalation of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation in Donbas.
