One Ukrainian serviceman has been killed and eight wounded as a result of 78 shooting attacks by pro-Russian militants since the start of the day, the antiterrorist operation (ATO) HQ has said on Facebook.

In the Mariupol sector, the militants fired 20 shells from a BM-21 Grad multiple launch rocket system against the ATO troops' positions near Vodyane. They used mortars against Hnutove and Vodyane, grenade launchers and small arms against Shyrokyne, Starohnativka, Lebedynske, Maryinka and Talakivka. Snipers were active near Shyrokyne, Lebedynske and Maryinka. Infantry fighting vehicles fired on Shyrokyne, Novohryhorivka and Hnutove.

In the Luhansk sector, the militants fired with 152-mm artillery on Novozvanivka, with mortars of various calibres on Novooleksandrivka, Novozvanivka, Katerynivka, Krymske and Malynove.

In the Donetsk sector, Avdiyivka and the Butivka mine were pounded by tanks and 120-mm and 82-mm mortars. They used grenade launchers against Opytne, Pisky and Kamyanka. Infantry fighting vehicles and grenade launchers were used against Luhanske, small arms against Nevelske. Snipers were active near Kamyanka and Novhorodske. The militants fired with anti-aircraft guns on Troyitske and Avdiyivka.
