The meeting of the Board of Directors of the International Monetary Fund will discuss the allocation of the next tranche of Ukraine worth 1bn dollars on Monday, April 3, RIA Novosti reported. The agency's source referred to a document circulated among the members of the IMF board of directors.
In the meantime, the public schedule of meetings of the Board for the period until April 7 contains no mentioning of Ukrainian issue.
The Kyiv IMF office confirmed the date of the meeting in Ukraine.
"The consideration by the IMF Executive Board of the third revision of the program of Ukraine under the Enhanced Financing Facility (EFF) along with the results of the 2016 consultations on Article IV of the IMF agreements is scheduled for April 3, 2017," the IMF Resident Representative in Ukraine, Jerome Vashem said.
The IMF has had to consider the disbursement of the next tranche to Ukraine on March 20, but postponed the meeting to analyse the consequences for the economy due to the transport blockade of "DPR" and "LPR" and the seizure of the Ukrainian enterprises there.
