A consolidated law on budget allocations for 2017 submitted to the US Congress envisages the allocation of at least 560 million dollars in assistance programs for Ukraine, the Ukrainian embassy in the United States says in Facebook on 2 May.
Also, Ukraine will receive 238 million dollars in military assistance until 1 October.
Without credit guarantees, which are not considered this year (last year, $ 275 million was pledged for this purpose), the allocations for other assistance programs are even planned to be increased (by $ 27 million over 2016).
"The allocated funds for strengthening the defensive and security capabilities of Ukraine are only a part of the total amount of $ 350 million that can be used after October 1, 2017," the embassy said.
The consolidated law on budget disbursements will be considered by the Senate and the House of Representatives on May 5.
